Angela Trimble was born in Miami, Florida, in 1945. When she was three months old, Richard and Catherine Harry, owners of a New Jersey gift shop, took her in and named her Deborah Harry. When she was a child, she lived in Hawthorne, New Jersey. She went to Hawthorne High School there.
